SnelContact.com Privacy Policy
SnelContact.com uses the information you enter during registration to create and maintain your personal contact page.
What information do we use?
Your name, city, short description, WhatsApp, email, SMS, phone number, social-media links and any optional profile information you choose to provide, such as a profile photo, profession, company, About Me text, address, country, conversation interests, conversation hashtags, preferred contact method, business-directory information or other optional public profile data.
Public information
The details you submit for your public SnelContact page are intended to be publicly visible. By submitting the form, you give permission for this publication.
Conversation hashtags and Ready to Talk
Permanent conversation hashtags are optional and publicly identify subjects you know about or are willing to discuss. They can be used to help other visitors discover relevant people by topic.
Ready to Talk is optional and OFF unless you activate it. When you switch it ON, your selected category, optional specific subject, temporary hashtags and temporary availability are publicly visible until you switch it OFF or the selected 2, 4 or 8 hour period expires.
The system is technically prepared for a future “Ask to Talk” feature. Stage 1 does not send conversation requests. If that feature is activated later, this policy will be updated before request data is used in production.
Visitor contact sharing
A visitor can choose to share their own name, email address, phone number and an optional message with the owner of a SnelContact page. This information is sent to that page owner and is not displayed publicly.
After sharing, the visitor may choose to create their own SnelContact page. Temporary prefill information can be retained for a limited period to simplify registration and is accessed through a random private token.
Meeting requests
A visitor can privately request a meeting with a SnelContact page owner by providing a name, email address, preferred date and time, optional alternative date and time, duration, meeting type, time zone and optional message. Meeting requests are not displayed publicly.
The page owner receives a private email and can approve one of the proposed times or decline the request. If approved, SnelContact creates calendar links for Google Calendar and a standard .ics calendar file that can be used with Apple Calendar, Outlook and other compatible calendar apps.
Pending meeting requests expire after 30 days. Old meeting-request records are periodically removed during normal service use after approximately 120 days.
One-time location sharing
The “Share my location” feature is optional and starts only after the visitor presses the location button and gives the browser permission to access the current position.
SnelContact uses one current position to create a map link and share message inside the visitor's browser. The coordinates are not submitted to the SnelContact.com server, are not added to a SnelContact profile and are not used for live or background tracking.
If the visitor chooses to share the resulting message through WhatsApp, SMS, email or another third-party service, that service receives the information the visitor chooses to send and its own privacy terms apply.
Private My SnelContacts
Private contacts, private notes, tags and “How we met” information created inside My SnelContacts are intended to remain in the user's local browser or installed mini-app. They are not published as public SnelContact pages.
If a user chooses the temporary transfer-code feature, a copy of the saved collection may be held on SnelContact.com for up to 15 minutes so it can be moved to another browser/app storage container. The code can be used once and the temporary copy is removed after successful import.
If a user chooses to invite a private contact to create a public SnelContact, selected potential-public contact fields can be stored temporarily for the invitation. Private notes, local tags, “How we met” and the private reference number are not sent with the invitation.
Public Business Directory
Business-directory participation is optional. If you actively choose to be listed, SnelContact.com may display selected public profile information such as your photo, name, profession or company, city, short description, business category, promotional headline, hashtags and a link to your public SnelContact page.
The directory card does not directly display your email address or telephone numbers. Visitors can open your normal public SnelContact page to contact you. You can remove yourself from the directory through the secure change function.
Temporary SnelGuide listings
Temporary SnelGuide listings are optional and are stored separately from your normal SnelContact profile. They can contain a category, listing type, headline, short description, city or area, country, optional price or budget, hashtags and an active-until date.
Temporary listings are not displayed on your normal public SnelContact page. They are shown only when a visitor deliberately chooses the matching temporary SnelGuide category and searches inside that category. Temporary-search pages are marked not to be indexed by search engines.
When a visitor chooses to contact the owner of a temporary listing, SnelGuide links to the owner's normal SnelContact page. SnelContact.com is a discovery and direct-contact service and does not verify ownership, vehicles, items, jobs, prices or identities and does not act as a real-estate agent, dealer or employer.
You may enter temporary-listing text in any language. The service uses Unicode-compatible storage for this feature.
Profile photos
Optional profile photos are stored on the SnelContact.com server so they can be displayed where the relevant public SnelContact information is shown.
Technical storage
Server-side SnelContact information is stored in the SnelContact.com database. We use the information needed to provide and manage the selected service features.
Changing or deleting your information
You can request a secure self-service link at SnelContact.com/change to change your details, Ready to Talk status, SnelGuide participation, temporary SnelGuide listings or delete your page.
Advertisements
The free service may contain advertising. Advertising is separate from the personal information of the page owner.
